Our CabKing trim saw attachment 8″ turns the CabKing 8" cabbing machine into a trim saw, making it a complete all-in-one unit so you can cut, grind and polish on just one machine. This saw attachment fits onto either side of the CabKing 8" cabbing machine. It comes with written and visual instructions for easy use and installation. Included with this trim saw attachment is an 8″ diameter X .031″ thick sintered saw blade with a 1″ arbor hole, so you can start cutting right out of the box.
Maximum cutting height and depth for the 6" and 8" trim saw attachment is 2.5" deep, 2.5" high with the mini platform, and 3.75" high with the mini platform removed.
IMPORTANT PURCHASING NOTES: THIS IS THE TRIM SAW ATTACHMENT ONLY, you must own the CabKing 8" cabbing machine in order to use this attachment. The trim saw attachment only accepts saw blades with 1″ arbor holes and is compatible with the CabKing-8V1 110 volt and 220 volt models ONLY. THIS TRIM SAW ATTACHMENT MAY LOOK DIFFERENT THAN PICTURED.

Unfortunately I can’t respond to Cab King’s incorrect response to my review, so I have to write the response here. There’s nothing worse than a company being shown a flaw and either not bothering to look at what they’ve been shown or not understanding why it’s a problem. I’m not sure which one is worse. These build platforms were *designed* with supportive feet to keep the platform level. Unfortunately the feet are a few millimeters too short, which allows for unnecessary play in the platform. No one is expecting a plastic housing and platform to function like a steel slab saw, but when an actual flaw in the realization of the product design is discovered by a customer showing it to someone in your product design department is probably the right call, rather than dismissing it offhand.
Bottom line: the two supportive feet under the platform are not aligned at their base with the rest of the base of the platform. Someone made a mistake in the measurements here.

We have reviewed the information and video you provided, and your feedback regarding the platform and supportive feet has been passed along to our Quality Control team for further review. At this point, we have provided your feedback to the appropriate team internally. We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best with your projects.
The blade runs true, but the platform is improperly designed with interior supports that are just hanging there not making contact with tray. Because of this, the saw will never give you a 90 degree cut, so expect a good deal of additional work when forming if you like to work with 90 degree walls.
Additionally, this warping and flexibility of the platform means greater wear and tear on your saw blades, as material is not on a stable surface as is moves past the blade edge. I lost a $55 blade before realizing what was happening.
I thought my original platform was an anomaly, they sent me another one that was even worse, and the upshot was a sort of “oh well, sorry.” Nothing worse than sloppy product design and QC. Very disappointed in this company—usually the products and customer service are much better.

Hi Maia - Thank you for your feedback. I’m Jen, VP of Marketing & Sales, and I have personally stepped in to review your concerns with both our customer service and operations teams. I also just replied to your email addressing your concerns. We’re sorry this attachment did not meet your expectations. We reviewed the platform and also pulled a new trim saw attachment directly from our inventory for comparison. Because the platform has a slit where the blade passes through, there can naturally be some flexibility in that area before and during assembly. Once all components are properly assembled, the platform should settle into position. We have sold thousands of these attachments over the past 15+ years without this being a recurring performance issue, but we absolutely understand and respect that you are unhappy with the one you received. Most importantly, we do not want you to feel stuck with a product you are unhappy with. We have offered to accept the trim saw attachment back for a full refund and will continue working with you directly to bring this to a resolution.

I absolutely love my new saw attachment. I do fused glass and often purchase murine in rods. I have had nothing but trouble trying using nippers or my other saws to get a nice cut thin enough for what I want. I also have two other saws but they were a hassle to setup and the blades were a lot thicker. This saw is so easy to use and cleanup is a snap compared to my other two saws.
Haven’t had a chance to use it ! still setting up my shop but looks like great quality and very well made …..can’t wait to start working with it.
